LearningExpress Civil Service Exam Preparation
To get started with LearningExpress civil service exam preparation follow the simple steps below:
Step #1 Get a California State Library card!
You will need a current California State Library card to log in to LearningExpress. You can easily apply for a library card. If you currently hold a California State Library card continue to step #2.
Step #2 Logging in to LearningExpress
When logging in to LearningExpress, you will be asked to provide your library card username and password. You can use either your library card barcode number or work email address as your username.
If you do not remember your password, please contact cslinfo@library.ca.gov and library staff will be happy to reset your password for you.
Step #3 Create a LearningExpress account
To use LearningExpress features, including all civil service exam modules, you will need to register for a LearningExpress account or log in to LearningExpress using an existing Google account. Once inside of the LearningExpress resource, click “Sign In/Register” and select “Register” to create an account, or enter your Google account information.
Step #4 Log in to LearningExpress and go to the “Career Preparation” module
Once you are logged in to LearningExpress, click on the “Career Preparation” module, and choose “Prepare for Civil Service Exams”. You can choose either “Civil Service Practice Exams” or “Civil Service Exam Prep eBooks”.
