Periodical of the Month
Congratulations to the writers and editors of our September Periodical of the Month, Los Meganos! We have featured the index to the 2018 issues, in part because of its focus on local topics. With stories about the history of local fire departments and families as well as stories about current events, this magazine succeeds in bringing the history of this local region to life. If you live in Contra Costa County or love local history, you might enjoy this periodical.
At the end of 2015, in an effort to better acknowledge and support work in the California history community, the California History Section started the Periodical of the Month program.
