Services to State Government and Employees
Overview
As the primary research library for state government, the State Library provides an extensive government publications collection, a law library, an outstanding collection of California historical materials, library statistical data, and information on laws pertaining to the establishment and operation of local libraries, in addition to a full general collection to meet state government information needs. The library also provides a specialized set of objective, nonpartisan research services to the Legislature, Governor's office, and other state constitutional officers.
