Periodical of the Month

Congratulations to the writers and editors of our August Periodical of the Month, Comstock's! We have featured the index to the January 2017 issue, in part because it features the wide variety of ways local businesses and officials, particularly those in the Sacramento region, contribute to Californians' well-being, from revitalizing struggling downtown areas to contributing to local charities. If like stories about people giving back to their communities, you might enjoy this periodical.

At the end of 2015, in an effort to better acknowledge and support work in the California history community, the California History Section started the Periodical of the Month program. This recognition honors quality research, editing and writing in periodicals devoted to California history. If you have any questions about this program, please feel free to contact us.
