Padmasree Warrior's curiosity about how things work began in her youth in India with science experiments like smashing a banana to see if it turned to glue. That curiosity led her to become an engineer, earning her M.S. in chemical engineering from Cornell University. She worked at Motorola for 23 years before joining Cisco in San Jose, where she is Chief Technology and Strategy Officer. Warrior is credited with launching Cisco's cloud computing strategy. Deemed one of the world's most powerful women by Forbes, Warrior has said, "Women have the skills to stand out in STEM fields."
