Stanley Mosk Library and Courts Building. Floor 5 North Corridor Meeting Room

Fifth Floor

The fifth floor's main feature is the California State Library's meeting room. It was originally planned to be a courtroom, but the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court at the time, Justice Waste, did not feel that the court should be in what he called "the attic." So it became the California State Library's meeting room and the courtroom was moved to the first floor. Also housed on the fifth floor are Courts staff offices.
